Cosmetic Alopecia

Traction Alopecia

Traction Alopecia
This is a typical example of hair breakage along the margins due to poor installation of sew-in weave extensions. The hair has broken due to the tightness of the sewing and added thread has snapped through the hair slowly over time, leaving the patient with visible bald patches.
Alopecia Areata
Alopecia Areata is an unpredicable hair condition which requires immediate attention. The sooner treatment is started, the better the likelihood of understanding its cause.
The hair will have appeared to 'suddenly' fall out and one or more circular patches will appear on the scalp.
Treatment may last up to 6 months' depedning upon severity; however, hair may simply regrow of its own accord.

Androgenetic alopecia in women is often described as Female Pattern Baldness.
